Sprinters Deja Major and Deamia Bowe took the two top spots in the Open Women 100m final on day one of competition at The T-BirdFlyers meet Friday night at the Thomas A Robinson Track and Field Stadium. Major won the event in a time of 12.75 seconds and Bowe took second in 12.80 seconds.  The meet continues Saturday with Mingoes competing in the 200m, 800m, javelin, discus and 4x400m relay.

The University of The Bahamas Mingoes women's track and field hurdler Kaiya Cambridge ran a personal best of 15.41 seconds in the open women 100m hurdles to place second at the Noble Preparatory Track and Field Meet Saturday at the Thomas A. Robinson Track and Field Stadium.

Newcomer Davia Musgrove secured the top finish in the open girls triple jump with a leap of 10.55 meters (34’ 7-1/4”). She was also in the pit for the long jump event where she finished second. She recorded 4.86m (15’ 11-1/4”).

MIAMI GARDENS, Florida - The University of The Bahamas Track and Field team won the 4x400m relay at the St. Thomas University Season Opener meet over the weekend. The Mingoes also picked up four second place finishes and a third place finishes at the collegiate meet.

Kenold Jean won the open mens 3000m event and Lhevinne Joseph won the open mens 800m event. Jaidyn Brown had a top three finish in the open mens high jump as well.

University of The Bahamas long-distance specialist Kenold Jean leads the pack in the open mens 3000m event Saturday January at The DTSP Wolfpack?s Neville Wisdom Classic at The Thomas A. Robison National Stadium. Jean won the event in 10 minutes 40.74 seconds.
