Mingoes with two second-places finishes enroute to 7th place overall

MIAMI GARDENS, Florida - UB Men's track team picked up two top two finishes at the Saint Thomas University 'Under The Light' Collegiate meet in Miami Gardens, Florida enroute to a top 10 overall finish.

The 4x400m team of Lhevinne Joseph. Jackson Ozias, Dennis Williamson, and Christopher Minors picked up second place in 3 minutes 21.63 seconds. That was a season's best for the team. St Thomas's team of Kenzie knowles, Khamauri Crabbe, Mkhori Crabbe, and Tristan Watson placed first in 3:14.84.

Williamson also picked up a second-place finish in the 400m hurdles in 54.53—a personal best for him.

The Mingoes finished 7th out of 13 participating schools.

The team also picked up two fourth place finishes: Kendall Cooper in Javelin and Lhevinne Joseph in the 400m.

Cooper had a best throw of 49.33m (161-10) in a personal best performance and Joseph finished in 49.54 seconds which was a season's best performance.

Freshman newcomer Samuel Corbin took 6th in the shot put with a best throw of 11.16m (36-7 ½).

In the 800m competition, Minors took 10th place in a season's best 2:02.23 and Ozias took 14th in 2:04.01.

In the 100m competition, Rashaad Farquharson took 12th place in 11.40 seconds and George Minnis was 13th in 11.46 seconds. There were 32 competitors.
