Newcomer Corbin Wins Shot Put
Mingoes newcomer and lone competitor Sunday, Samuel Corbin won the Under-20 men shot put compeitition on his fifth throw at The Redline Athletics Meet.
Corbin came off a fifth place finish in the discus throw, achieving a personal best with a throw of 27.72 meters (90 feet, 11.5 inches).
In the shot put, Corbin's fifth throw proved to be the game changer, as he executed a smoother glide, ultimately securing the win. Corbin's best throw of 12.88 meters (42 feet, 3 inches) gave him the win.
