Mingoes newcomer John McKenzie scored 38 points to lead the Mingoes to a 90-85 win over Airport Authority Avengers Thursday night at The Kendall Isaacs Gym.

Kevaro Russell scored 18 points and Shemeco Albury contributed a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Jarius Hall scored 13 points in the win. 

John Mckenzie said his mindset was to get the win. "Coach told us to a adjust and finish strong and stop double clutching," he said. "It was next guy up, they trusted me from the first day of practice, it was just come in and be yourself." 

Mingoes next play Crime Stoppers 7pm Thursday February 26, 2026 at The Kendal Isaacs Gym.
