Mingoes quartet doubled up on Crimestopppers in 75-53 win

With four players in double digits, The Mingoes defeated the RBPF Crimestopppers 75-53 Thursday in UB Showcase action in Kendal Isaacs Gymnasium.

Jerehemiah Miller and Terrence Higgs each scored 12 points; Shemeco Albury put up 11 points and Lorenz Carter chipping in with 10 points in the win.

Miller also pulled down 10 rebounds for The Mingoes.

Higgs said the team had a slow start but were still able to get the win. "In the second half we got a lot of our bench involved and that lead to the win," Higgs said.

Kevaro Russell said this is the first game them back and they had to get back into the groove. "We are going to learn from this game and that's going to make us better," Russell said. "Heading to our next game we are looking to come back with a lot of intensity to get the next one."

Cameron Cherry had 18 points for the Crimestoppers in the loss.

The Mingoes next play Airport Authority at 7 p.m. Monday December 8 at the Kendal Isaacs Gym.
