MIngoes takes down Taxmen in Homecoming Game

There were five players in double figures for the University of The Bahamas men's basketball team as they easily took care of the Customs Department Taxmen 99-63 to get the Homecoming Game  victory on Friday.

Terrance Higgs played like a man possessed as he finished with a game-high 30 points and nine rebounds. Kevaro Russell had 16 points while Jerehemiah Miller and Shemeco Albury scored 14 and 12 points respectively. Alex Minus got 11 points off the bench.

UB led this game wire-to-wire as they used a 20-0 run in the first quarter to help them to a 22-2 lead with 4:15 remaining and they never looked back. That quarter ended with UB leading 25-14.

It was all UB the rest of the way as their stifling defense gave them full control of the game the rest of the night.

The Taxmen were led by Warren Miller who had 18 points and nine rebounds.

UB travels to South Florida to get their International Tour underway on Firday, November 14 and Saturday, November 15 against United International College.
