Freshman Bullard win open women's division at UB Cross Country Invitational
It was an early morning but over 800 athletes came out and supported the 3rd Annual University of The Bahamas Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, September 28. There were some very strong performances as schools and track and field clubs showed up and brought the Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium grounds to life.
Freshman Michal Bullard won the open female division.
"I came out here and did my best," Bullard said. "At the beginning, I tried to get out with the boys but it was difficult. I kept the pace and the last few meters – I gave it my all."
Head coach for UB, Ednal Rolle was happy with the turnout and seeing the younger athletes performing at a high level.
"Cross-country is always a challenge. It challenges your endurance and mental strength. It was great to see the athletes perform at a high level for their team. Another cross-country meet in the books and we increased this year in the number of participants," Rolle said.
