UB split day one at Battle of the Islands
The University of The Bahamas women's volleyball split their opening day in the Battle of the Islands tournament with a 2-0 loss to Abaco Alpha at the Eight Mile Rock Gymnasium in Eight Mile Rock, Grand Bahama.
UB lost 21-14 and 21-20 to split their sets 2-2 win/loss in group play.
They went down 6-4 early in the first set before going down 19-10. The scored four unanswered points but fell 21-14.
It was a tough battel in the second sed as UB went down 9-6 before they were able to trail 11-10. The trailed 20-18 before falling 21-20.
UB will wrap up group play on Saturday against Abaco Rebels at 5 p.m.
