Mingoes dominate Aces in straight sets
The University of The Bahamas Mingoes women's volleyball team only needed three sets to dispose of the Aces in the New Providence Volleyball Association (NPVA) action on Sunday at the D.W Davis Gym.
UB dismantled the Aces 25-16; 25-19; and 25-15 to extend their win streak to four games to sport a 9-6 win/loss record on the season.
Patrice Ferguson led all scorers with 16 total points. Zarria Rose finished with 12 points while Anjeniker Joseph finished with nine points.
Raymond Wilson, head coach for UB said that his team need to close games faster.
"Moving towards the playoff round, we have to be more efficient," Wilson said. "When we have a team down, we have to learn to put them away fast. Once you give a team life, anything can happen."
Shanyhah Bowe led the Aces with 12 points in the loss.
UB will get a challenge when they face the second place Lady Warhawks at 7.30 on Friday, March 6 at the D.W. Davis Gym.
