Johnson Lady Truckers
Despite a late surge in the last inning, The Mingoes fall to The Johnson Lady Truckers 16-9 at The Bankers' Field in New Providence Softball Association action.
Keishana Coakley was tagged with the loss for The Mingoes and Grace Chea picked up the win for The Truckers. Coakley allowed 14 runs off of eight hits with 14 errors, four walks and one strikeout.
Raevyn Bethell went 2-2 for one run and two RBI's and Nabria Hamilton went 1-2 with two runs, two RBI's and a double.
Heading into the third inning, The Mingoes trailed 16-2; but a slew of hits led by Hamilton, Bethel, and Adonya Rolle and baserunning from Solana Brown and Syazha Kelly pulled them to within seven runs. The Truckers though closed out the inning and the game on a controversial pick off on second base of Adonya Stanislaus.
The Mingoes next play Tuesday July 2 at The Bankers' Field.
