Men's XC team puts up top times

The University of The Bahamas Men's Cross Country teams had a strong performance over the weekend at the Embry Riddle University Invitational but an injury prevented the men from scoring as a team.

Despite the lack of team scoring every team member turned in best times.

Lhevinne Joseph finished 85th in 31 minutes 3.1 seconds to lead the team. There were 145 competitors in total.

Jackson Ozias finished second for the Mingoes in 31 minutes 59.8 seconds and Dennis Williamson picked up third spot in 33 minutes 4.2 seconds. Christopher Minors finished the course in 35 minutes 15.2 seconds.

A team needs five competitors to score points in a corss country meet.

Joseph said he was pleased not only with his performance but the team's performance as well. "We came out strong and attacked the course how we wanted to," he said. "Even though we weren't able to score as a team we still turned in top times and I am happy and glad for that."
