Bio
Alex Thompson was born and in his words "bred in the Bahamas" and is "from an athletic family".
He graduated from UB in 2014 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management. He says it has always been his dream to play for the Bahamas National Team, and it has certainly come true! He has five caps for the Bahamas Senior National team and seven caps playing for the Bahamas National Beach Soccer Team. He's also played at the youth, collegiate, and Senior levels in the Bahamas with Bears, The College of the Bahamas, and Renegades FC. With Renegades he participated in the qualifying rounds for Concacaf Champions League.
Coach Thompson has been coaching for more than 10 years now with various programs on the island including: YESI, Manta Rays FC, Premier Skillz Training Systems, the Lyford Cay Elite Development Program and Renegades.
He is also head coach and founder of his own soccer school, FutPrep Athletics and has worked with numerous professional, collegiate, and national athletes.
He also holds the USSF C License, and currently working towards his B License
