Gervais scores goal as Mingoe to lead side to 3-0 win over CIU Falcons

NASSAU: Mingoes captain and midfielder Ronaldo Green scored recorded a brace and midfielder Rolph Gervais scored his first goal as a Mingoe to lead the side to a 3-0 win over California Intercontinental University Friday at the Roscow A.L. Davies Field.

The defensive match ended the first half with a 0-0 tie. 

Coming out of the half, Gervais scored his first goal ever in a Mingoes uniform in the 74th minute and was surrounded by the team to congratulate him.

Three minutes later, Green connected with the net for his first goal and ripped off his shirt in celebration as the side went up 2-0. He received a yellow card.

Green was not done. Eight minutes later Green scored the third goal for The Mingoes in the 85th minute on the assist from midfielder Junior Kelly.

The Mingoes then held on for the 3-0 win.

The team plays Inter-Nassau in Bahamas Football Association action 6:45 p.m. Sunday at the Roscow A.L. Davies Field.
