Pilgrim's hat-trick propels Mingoes to 5-0 win to open season

The University of The Bahamas Mingoes got a hat-trick from Philip Pilgrim to secure a 5-0 clean sheet win against the Western Warriors to open their Bahamas Men's Soccer League campaign Sunday.

Forward Pilgrim scored two goals in the second half and one in the first half at the Roscow A.L. Davies Soccer Fields. 

"Coming back from the International Tour where I was cold. As we started the league, everything was put together and we performed well tonight," Pilgrim said.

Captain Ronaldo Green scored one goal in the 90rh minute and Warriors' own goal after put the icing on the cake.

It will be a quick turnaround for UB as they play Renegades F.C. at 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 29.
