Mingoes struggle in loss to Titans

The University of The Bahamas Mingoes men's soccer team had a tough outing against the league-leading Western Warriors Titans that ended in a 5-1 loss at the Roscow Davies Soccer Fields.
Freshman Philip Pilgrim was the lone goal scorer for UB that sport a 7-3 win/loss record on the season. They sit in fourth position in the Bahamas Football Association Men's Soccer League (BMSL).
The game started off balanced as both teams possesed the ball evenly but the Titans found the back of the net first in the 22nd minute to take the 1-0 lead.
The half-time score was 3-0 to Titans as UB went into the locker room looking for a come back. That comeback never happened as the Titans made it 4-0 in the 63rd minute to put the game further out of reach.
Pilgrim's goal came on a free-kick in the 89th minute. Ronaldo Green took the free-kick but it was Nathan Wells that got the ball to Pilgrim who was in the six-yard box. Pilgrim tapped it in with his right foot to make the score 5-1 in Titans favor.
UB will end this half of the season with a matchup on Wednesday against United FC at 7.15 p.m.
