Mingoes shut down late surge from RBDF Patrollers

Mingoes mens basketball used a fourth quarter surge to top The Royal Bahamas Defense Force Patrollers 79-66 in UB Showcase action. 

Kevaro Russell led the Mingoes with a career-high 34 points and seven rebounds. Terrance Higgs added 18 points to aid in the win. 

The Mingoes had to overcome a second quarter 13 point defecit to pull off the win.

Lorenz Carter flirted with a double double putting up eight point and 10 rebounds.

Russell said it was a good win. "We came out a little slow and we had to make up for our big man by going down there and fighting with the big guys and trying to rebound," he said. 

Kareem Lightbourne led The Patrollers with 18 points and eight assists and Ishad Rolle contributed 15 points in the loss.

Mingoes next play Bahamas Department of Corrections 7pm Thursday December 11th at The Kendal Isaac Gymnasium.
